Welcome to the Healthy Healing Mastery podcast. I’m Deborah Lobart, mother-of-two, lifestyle entrepreneur and author of “Six Steps To A Healthier You”. On this podcast, I will help you transform beginning with the food to eat when, moving into mindset shifts and all the limiting beliefs that are keeping you in the state, and finally environmental transformation because the surroundings were living in our directly impacting the quality of your health and your life. So, if you are ready to take responsibility and walk this path with me, then you’re in the right place. So, grab that celery juice and let’s begin. So, in this episode, I wanted to give you five things that I started you on a daily basis to bring fulfillment in your own life. So quick story about me. I came from very humble beginnings. So, I always had drive and hunger to create this life of abundance. But abundance to me in my head was Financial Freedom. I thought, you know, if I’m financially free then I’m going to be the happiest person in the world, but something interesting happened. After working for people most of my life, I decided that I am going to become an entrepreneur because I thought I’m going to make more money if I work for myself, which did end up happening. This thing is, although I wasn’t struggling any more financially, I still felt empty and I couldn’t pinpoint what it was. It’s like I became the angry achiever. Now, I realize that I was searching for a different type of success. I wanted fulfillment, and fulfillment doesn’t come from tangible stuff, like money or another promotion at work. Fulfillment is created within. So, in this episode, I wanted to give you five things that I started you on a daily basis to bring fulfillment in your own life. So, number one – what makes you happy? Think about your childhood and what you loved doing, maybe before all the responsibilities of being an adult came into your life. Make a list of those things because maybe you stop doing some of them. Sometimes we feel like its selfish to take time to ourselves to do things that we love because our focus should be on our family. Or you know, were too busy at work and we need to focus on accomplishing our goals first, right? And the list goes on. The one thing that I noticed is that when I started to make time for me and what I love every day, I felt better and when I felt better energetically, I was a better mother. I was a happier wife. I was more productive at work. So, taking time for me and doing something that makes me happy everyday helps me in all of these areas. Is it really a waste of time? Not really, because doing these things that are going to feed your soul and result in more fulfillment…when you’re fulfilled that’s where the magic happens, right? Like you create more abundance. So, when you’re done this podcast take a few minutes to make a list of what makes you happy, and if it helps think back to childhood and all the things that you love doing back then too. You know, maybe you used to dance but you no longer make time for that the what is that one thing that you can start doing again it’s going to make you happy? By making time for doing this I promise you you’re going to feel a big shift and it’s going to reflect in all other areas of your life. Okay number two – be authentically you. Live a life that is true to you. Right, like what do you stand for? Forget about everybody else. Don’t compare yourself to others. Make this about you, because I truly believe that were all unique and we all have a special gift to share, and nobody else does it the same way. You know, a disease is trying to be somebody that you’re not. You know, sometimes we need to remember who we were as kids, right because why would we ever change? And I think it’s so funny that we spent our whole life trying to be somebody that we’re not and then we becoming adults and then we realized that’s not who we really are and then we have to unlearn all of that. Because true joy and fulfillment stems from being you. So, figure out what your unique gift is and then share it with everyone. Okay, just a hint. What are you passionate about? Something that you could do for hours that feels like minutes? What is that thing? Okay, that’s usually a sign of where to start looking. Number three – the quality of your life is nothing but the quality of your emotions. So, where do you live emotionally? You know, we all have an emotional home. Some people always find a reason to be angry. Some people always find a reason to complain. Some people always find a reason to be grateful, right? I know for years I always had an emotional home to be worried. You know, how I was going to pay my bills. How is going to have more time to do more things that I love, and being worried became the quality of my life. So, the first step to becoming emotionally aware of your feelings is to, you know, take note of that. Never make your feelings wrong. Just be aware. Okay, so start exercising that Emotional muscle, okay, with positive emotions, like gratitude. What if we all learn to appreciate the little things in life? You know, it doesn’t always have to be big right? Like the fact that you know, you can drink clean water. Or get like a hug from your little one, or maybe being able to confide in a close friend. You know, these are all little things that you can focus on and by doing that you start to feel gratitude and when you do you start feeling better. So focus on these positive emotions and see what sorts of things start, you know, coming into your daily basis like how you’re feeling, And you know, this is kind of off topic, but do you ever notice people who are apparently excited about something but they’re like yay. With like zero enthusiasm because it’s almost like it’s too cool to not be too excited right? And then we train ourselves to be that way, but this kills our spirit and it reduces the quality of Our Lives. If you think about kids like when they’re excited you know they’re jumping around like they’re ecstatic. They don’t hide their feelings, so why are we any different? We can learn so much from kids these days. Number four – growth. Personally, I learned that if I do the same thing over and over and over again, I get really bored. So, if you’re anything like me you know growth is where it’s at. Because when we’re growing and were doing something that’s totally out of our comfort zone and very scary, you’re going to feel pretty amazing if you conquer those fears. Okay, so I’m going to give you a perfect example. I used to be terrified of public speaking. It was the one thing that you could not get me to do. But when it came time to, you know earning the next promotion at work and me knowing that I had to start talking in front of an audience, I was like no I need to make more money. So, I forced myself to do that public speaking because the pain of not having enough money was greater than the pain of my fear of public speaking. So, when I conquered that fear, I felt extremely free, extremely fulfilled. So, my advice to you is to do something that scares you every day. The more you push yourself out of your comfort zone, the bigger your comfort zone expands, and then you start experiencing more positive emotions on a daily basis. Okay, and then last but certainly not least is number five – find a way to serve others. How can you touch people’s lives in your own unique way? So, you know, you want to remember that you came into this world with something special to do and you want to leave your mark. So, what is it? You know, if you look at depressed people, they are some of the most selfish people. Like not to put blame on anybody, because most people aren’t aware that they’re doing this, but when you’re depressed who were you thinking about? Right like you’re thinking about yourself and your own feelings. So, find a way to make life about other people, whether it’s your kids, your spouse, your team, your friends. Find a way to serve and help other people and your life will take on a whole new meaning.
